Identifying the Right Measurement Method
There are multiple types of measurement methods for determining moisture level. Thermogravimetric analyzers measure the amount of moisture removed by evaporation as the temperature changes, also known as loss on drying (LOD). Certain types of measurements may require Chemical Conversion, however, which is when you must use solvents, and the water in the sample must be accessible to the reagent.
